Delete your account
You can delete your Loftt account at any time, right in the app. It takes a minute and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open Loftt and tap the settings icon (the sliders) at the top of Home.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted, then confirm. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm it’s you.
- Choose whether to also erase the home on this phone. It is off unless you turn it on.
Your account is deleted straight away, and the app tells you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in details.
- The online backup of the homes you own: appliances, documents and their files, photos, service records, spending, checks, issues and Home Health history.
- Questions you asked in Loftt.
- Your plan and assisted-use records, and your record at our purchase service.
- If you signed in with Apple, Loftt’s access to your Apple ID is revoked. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Loftt at myaccount.google.com.
What happens to shared homes
- Homes you own are deleted for everyone you shared them with. If someone else should keep a home, give them a copy first: Settings, Your home, Export home.
- Records you added to a home someone else owns stay in that home, because they are part of that household’s records. Your name is removed from them and from the home’s activity.
What stays
- The home on your phone stays unless you choose to erase it. You can also delete the app to remove it.
- Our hosting provider keeps encrypted daily database backups for up to 7 days. Deleted data in them is gone after that.
- Anonymous crash reports and usage counts are not linked to you and expire on their own.
Loftt Plus
Deleting your account does not cancel Loftt Plus, because Apple handles billing. Cancel it first: in Loftt open Settings, Plan, Manage subscription, or on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. For a refund, visit Apple’s refund page.
Can’t open the app?
Email privacy@loftt.app from the address you signed in with, and we will delete your account and online backup within 30 days and reply when it is done.
